Colleen Barry Limited Edition
The Feet Washers
Original painting part of Ride The Tiger
Caelum Gallery, New York City
Now in Private Collection
From the gallery into print — we collaborated with Brooklyn-based artist Colleen Barry to produce a limited time-release edition of her painting The Feet Washers, which first premiered in the joint exhibition Ride The Tiger between Colleen and her partner Will St. John. The exhibition was co-hosted by longterm friends, Adam Driver and Joanne Tucker, and the original painting is now in private collection.
Colleen reached out to us about doing an artist edition, as fans and admirers of her work had been wishing for prints from her for years. We worked on the print file of the painting, and proofed it on a range of our premium papers before selecting Hahnemühle Bamboo, a beautiful paper made from 90% bamboo fibers from the mill's Natural Line. It isn't too often we get to print artwork with yellows and greens as acidic and vibrant as The Feet Washers, and we felt that both the image and its colors translated perfectly to Bamboo's warm tone.
The print sale was live for only 1 week, and unsurprisingly amassed a high volume of orders before the edition was capped. Our studio, in addition to printing, also handled the fulfillment and drop shipping of all prints, domestic and international.
